DESCRIPTION:Join us for some “hands on” science at Scotchman’s Creek!\nGet into some citizen science with Yvonne Cabuang\, Regional Project Officer\, Melbourne Catchment Management Authority & Fred Bullock\,\nTreasurer\, Friends of Scotchman’s Creek and Valley Reserve.  Join both on an outing to Scotchman’s Creek where they will  guide participants through the activity of sampling for waterbugs.   This field experience will happen at the creek next to the Regent Street Reserve\, Mt. Waverley. \nThe National Waterbug Blitz is Australia’s first nationwide\, Citizen Science\, waterway monitoring event. Over the month of October Australians are encouraged to discover how healthy their local waterways and wetlands are\, simply by exploring and identifying what waterbugs live in them.
