Adventures Under Southern Skies – an Art-Science Melding

An exhibition of regional astronomy and sky photography by the Mornington Peninsula Astronomical Society in proud collaboration with PrimeSCI!, the Mornington Peninsula Shire Council and Coolart Wetlands and Homestead.

Being held at the historic Coolart Homestead, come and experience this artwork exhibition of stunning astronomy and space-related photographs taken by members of all ages from the Mornington Peninsula Astronomical Society, captured both in the peninsula region and further afield on expeditions to preserve fleeting sky phenomena of scientific interest.

Equipment employed by the photographers, some internationally recognised, ranges from advanced telescope-camera-processing combinations to amazingly humble, yet effective, hand-held cameras and smartphones that are accessible to anyone.

Come, be surprised, be inspired and experience where day and night, and art and science merge.

Drive carefully through the park, with the possibility of encountering wildlife. Park and check in at the visitors centre then continue on foot to the homestead.
