Citizen Science and the National Waterbug Blitz

The Monash Science and Innovation Hub invites you to participate in the
National Waterbug Blitz.

The National Waterbug Blitz is Australia’s first nationwide, Citizen Science, waterway monitoring event. Over the month of October Australians are encouraged to discover how healthy their local waterways and wetlands are, simply by exploring and identifying what
waterbugs live in them.

Learn more about waterbugs, citizen science and the National Waterbug Blitz from Yvonne Cabuang, Waterwatch Coordinator with Melbourne Water & Fred Bullock, Treasurer, Friends of Scotchman’s Creek and Valley Reserve

This initiative provides training through downloads and apps. In addition Monash Science and Innovation Partners will have Waterbug Kits available for loan over the month of October.
