Join us for a special presentation with Dr Melanie Thompson. Be the first to see the amazing STEM sculpture created from the metals used in the CSIRO’s STEM Professionals in schools program.

Learn about Dr Melanie Thompson’s microbial corrosion project conducted with the students from Sacred Heart College, Geelong, as part of CSIRO’s STEM Professionals in schools program supported by Viva Energy.

Hear about how this unique STEM artwork came about during the ‘SEAing the Unseen’ presentation, see the amazing sculpture in the flesh at Geelong West Library, and learn about the wonderful world of microbial corrosion and how it effects our marine environments.

This sculpture will remain on display at Geelong West Library until September.
