FACT VS FICTION: What does the future hold?

15 August 2018 @ 6:30 pm7:30 pm

Free

The future is with us now. What does it hold for us? Is it inevitable or do we have an active role to play in shaping a future that will nurture human existence and a healthy planet?

Much science fiction has predicted a life that for us is now common place. How do these writers now see our existence and what is the relationship then between science fact and science fiction?

Two extraordinary women, sci fi writer Isobelle Carmody and CSIRO Senior Economist Katherine Wynn, share their predictions for our future and explore the relationship between science fact and fiction.
